Your Heart as the Connection to Your Higher Self

True radiance is like a rose in bloom. That's who we are when in a state of pure love. 

Yet often, we block our experience of love due to closed hearts from grief and trauma, shutting down hearts as walls are built around it. 

This is the process of facing our fears and dismantling the stories we hide behind. Releasing the blocks that hinder the flow of love in our lives is a transformative process. Love becomes an alchemical force, healing our body, mind, and soul, allowing sacred energy to flow freely.

I've witnessed numerous individuals undergo profound transformations as they heal on all levels, transmuting their fears into love. 

 We often avoid love because it embodies truth, and facing truth can be unsettling. Truth exposes us, strips away the layers of stories we hide behind and dismantles anything within us that does not serve the divine purpose. This is an intense process of shedding until only that which aligns with the divine remains. At this moment right here, take a pause as  I invite you to reflect on whether you have dared to truly allow love to guide your path.

 This is the journey for you, a journey that we are all on. The Journey to Love is all about embracing higher union, starting with the integration of masculine and feminine qualities within oneself. It is through our own self-relationship and connection to our hearts that we can relate to others.

 

HEARTBEAT SYCHORNISATION & HEALING 

 

The beat of our hearts is a synchronisation with our highest self and the rhythms of the universe. The HeartMath Institute's research has also explored the concept of heart coherence, which refers to a state of optimal synchronization and harmony between the heart, brain, and other physiological systems. 

 

Because our heart chakra forms the bridge between the lower systems and the higher systems, it's said to b e the gateway to our highest self. When the heart chakra is balanced and open, it allows for a free flow of energy, love, and compassion, enabling us to connect with others. 

Expanding our connection with the heart chakra requires cultivating qualities such as love, compassion, forgiveness, and acceptance. It is about releasing any blockages or wounds that prevent the flow of love, embracing self-love and self-acceptance. By healing and opening the heart, we create a space within ourselves for the energy of our highest self to flow freely.

 

A SIMPLE MEDITATION TO OPEN YOUR HEART AGAIN

 

Loving-kindness meditation, also known as Metta meditation, is a practice that can encourage you to extend love, compassion, and well-wishes towards both loved ones and strangers.

Here's a guided meditation that specifically focuses on cultivating love:

 

  1. Find a quiet and comfortable place where you can sit or lie down without distractions. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle into the present moment.
  2. Begin by bringing to mind a stranger or someone you don't know well. It could be someone you've seen briefly or someone you crossed paths with recently. Visualize their face or imagine their presence.
  3. As you hold this person in your awareness, repeat the following phrases silently or aloud, allowing the intention and energy of love to flow through your words:
    • May you be happy.
    • May you be healthy.
    • May you be safe.
    • May you live with ease.
  4. As you repeat these phrases, genuinely feel the intention behind each one. Imagine sending waves of love, compassion, and goodwill towards this stranger, wishing them well in all aspects of their life.
  5. Stay with these phrases and feelings for a few moments, allowing them to resonate within you. If your attention drifts, gently bring it back to the person you're focusing on and continue the meditation.
  6. Now, expand your loving-kindness practice to include other strangers. Begin to visualize a variety of people you've never met, such as individuals you pass by on the street or encounter in everyday life.
  7. Repeat the phrases again, directing them towards all these strangers, one by one:
    • May you be happy.
    • May you be healthy.
    • May you be safe.
    • May you live with ease. 
  8. As you continue this meditation, feel the warmth and unconditional love in your heart expanding with each repetition. Allow it to encompass all beings, known and unknown, with a genuine wish for their well-being and happiness.
  9. When you are ready, gently release the visualization and the phrases. Take a few moments to sit in stillness, experiencing the afterglow of love and compassion that has been cultivated during this meditation.
  10. Slowly open your eyes, bringing the feelings of love and connection with you as you carry this practice of loving-kindness into your interactions with strangers and the world around you. 

 

This meditation practice helps to develop a sense of interconnectedness, empathy, and universal love. By extending loving-kindness beyond our immediate circles, we foster a greater sense of compassion, understanding, and unity in our world.

Facing love requires letting go of the walls and masks we hide behind. It can be intimidating to confront the light of truth Yet, you have a choice to stay rooted in safety or walk towards our most divine and potent selves.
