How to Create a Sacred Space

You may have many rooms at home, but do you have a sacred space where you can renew at a soul level?
Do you find yourself sometimes getting anxious, fidgety or tense?
In these unprecedented times, it becomes all too easy to lose ground as we find ourselves quarantined at home, maybe even sharing space with others.

Emotions can be running high and without a space of your own, it can be even more nerve-wracking. While understandable especially in a time of a global pandemic, this doesn’t mean that you have to succumb to the general fear and anxiety.

One easy way to center is to create a sacred space in your home. It doesn’t have to be a big space – even a corner will do. This is a solace, a place for you to ground and reconnect to what’s meaningful in your life.

Creating your own sacred space will help you to replenish and revitalize. It is a place to be reborn and renewed every day – a place to find rest.

Your sacred space is where you find yourself over and over again.

Joseph Campbell

Here’s how to create your sacred space:

I personally love creating my own space. Apart from filling it with my favorite items, it’s like I’m infusing “me” during the process of putting it together.
Then, it becomes such a comfortable and revitalizing space. I’ve found myself reading a book, listening to music, heaping a big dose of self-love and connecting to the world around me.
I’ve also been insanely productive by sitting still in meditation and being open to receiving new insights, creating intentions and visualizing the day ahead.
I end up feeling much more connected and in a space where I can share this to others.
